Reporting of Misconduct
We are committed to fostering safe environments for all people, with the highest standards of conduct, ethics and integrity. We take seriously all forms of misconduct and abuses of power, not limited to sexual harassment, sexual abuse, child abuse, and spiritual abuse, by the employees, contract workers, or volunteers in service to or with The Good Table, our partner churches or faith communities, affiliated leaders, or any other body or individual who works with us.
At the present time, we have yet to define criteria for formal affiliation or membership of partner churches, including structures of accountability. As such, we encourage all people to do their own due diligence regarding safety and abuse prevention as they consider engaging with a faith community.
Nonetheless, this page can be used to submit misconduct concerns regarding the employees, contract workers, or volunteers in service to or with The Good Table, including our leadership team. All complaints of misconduct will be taken seriously and investigated with integrity and fairness, promptly and with concern for the wellbeing of complainants and other involved parties. Information about allegations and complaints shall be kept confidential to the extent that it is possible. Any information obtained related to the allegations, including identifying information about any individuals involved, will not be disclosed unless disclosure is necessary to investigate the incident, take corrective action, or otherwise required by law.
If the individual experiencing misconduct is a minor, it must be reported immediately to the police or child welfare authorities, as an incident of child abuse, as required by law.
At the present time, all submitted reports via this form are received by The Good Table’s governing board. As we move ahead, we hope to partner with a third-party to receive reports.
